We are looking for a collaborative finance manager to assist our Pizzeys member firm in Brisbane on a 6-month contract.
As a senior finance business partner, you will deliver the highest level of finance related services and contribute to the successful delivery of core operational and strategic objectives for the Pizzeys business.
You will be part of our centralised IPH finance shared services team and be responsible for all management and statutory reporting of Pizzeys, along with leading and championing the roll out of all IPH finance lead initiatives.
Responsibilities include: Perform month-end close including preparation and review of journal preparation and processing, general ledger reconciliations etc. Deliver accurate and timely monthly consolidated management reports, accompanied by insightful analytical commentary. Liaise with external auditors to provide relevant information to meet reporting obligations and other requirements in a timely manner. Prepare and lodge monthly and quarterly BAS/IAS.
Assist the Corporate Team with preparation of FBT, income tax return and statutory reporting obligations of the listed entity. Contribute to ad-hoc finance projects including guidance and recommendations for the application of accounting standards and taxation law applicable to the group. Act as a trusted and valued business partner to the Managing Principal and leadership team, while also partnering with the practice groups to prepare and monitor budget performance. Lead the overall budget and forecast preparation process. Manage and backup the national finance operations, including accounts payable, credit cards, and accounts receivable/credit control, supporting the day-to-day management of the business unit. Develop and implement analytical reporting tools that provide valuable business intelligence on financial and business development trends/initiatives. Ensure accurate accounting classification and reporting of revenue and expenditure. Prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient funds to meet current and future business needs. Approve payments for local and overseas invoices, including foreign currency purchases when required. Foster strong relationships and collaborate with senior leaders across the Group to ensure timely and accurate reporting of progress towards key objectives. Knowledge and Experience: Proficiency in a broad range of accounting principles and operational processes, including financial and performance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage individuals at all levels of the organisation. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail. A team player who is adaptable and capable of leading the team through change and transformation projects. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, along with CPA/CA qualification. Over 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Advanced Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems.
Previous knowledge of Inprotech and/or Microsoft D365 (finance systems) will be advantageous. Experience in the professional services industry will be preferred. Exposure to reporting into a corporate finance team, along with business transformation and project management skills, will be an advantage.
