Our client is a professional services and research firm that works with indigenous communities across Canada. They are looking for a Finance Manager to maintain their financial records, and oversee all finance, forecasting, budgeting, and other corporate functions. The Finance Manager will advise and assist the Principal owners and General Manager with overall financial and strategic objectives. The finance manager will have one full-time and one part-time staff reporting to them.
Suitable candidates must have completed the CPA designation and have experience in a leadership capacity. This position is 100% in-office.
Responsibilities:Full cycle accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and account reconciliations;Prepare all government remittances, including source deductions, GST, WCB, Employer Health
Tax and corporate tax instalments;Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and multiple credit card statement reconciliations;Maintain the accounting department's accounting procedures and training manual;Research and resolve payment and expense discrepancies;Prepare and analyze quarterly financial statements;Prepare and update cash flow, operating and overhead budgets;Manage and maintain corporate records and reports for LP, LLP, and JV partnerships.Year-end financial statement preparation; andOther duties as assigned.Duties associated with this position will adjust to meet evolving demands and directions within the company.
