We reach outside of ourselves to collaborate with others, to bring new opportunities for our people to grow and prosper.Creativity: The initiative and creativity that is shown by our traditional owner inspires us to develop our enterprises in innovative ways.The PurposeAs the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing all internal financial operations of the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging the Finance Team in the delivery of effective financial operations for the Myuma Group.Monitor and support Managers with analysis and advice to ensure that financial targets for organisational and Unit-based performance are met.Ensure the financial profitability of the organisation is maintained across all Units.Support and facilitate organisational processes for cash flow forecasting, budgeting, business planning, asset management, financial performance and consolidation, and statutory reporting to ACNC, ASIC, ORIC and other stakeholders.Ensure effective internal controls are in place, supported by timely financial management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local financial & tax reporting rules and regulations.Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, and information reports as required by the Directors, the Managing Director, General Manager, and the Senior Leadership Team of the organisations within the Group and serve as the principle liaison for external auditors.Ensure the Directors of the corporations within the Group have the information they need to make informed decisions.Advise the Directors of the organisations within the Group on good practice in corporate governance, including providing guidance on the diligent and ethical discharge of their duties.Deliver strong day-to-day leadership and maintain effective processes for continuous professional development and open communication amongst Finance Team staff.Effectively communicate Management endorsed messages regarding financial strategy and direction, the identity (including branding), vision, values and culture of the organisation, both internally to the Finance Team and externally to all relevant stakeholders.Work collaboratively with Managers to ensure that budgets are developed, communicated and maintained.Ensure all projects are planned, conducted and delivered within budget in order to maximise the retention/renewal of existing revenue sources (contract and funding partners).Working closely with the Myuma Group HR Manager, support and facilitate the enhancement of existing organisational processes across Payroll and intersecting HR functions (e.g. effective Payroll, Employee Leave management, remuneration and benefits).Support a human capital development and "coaching" culture within the organisation.Promote and showcase activities of the Myuma Group and its individual Units as required.Uphold the Myuma Group's core values at all times and behave in an honest, fair and professional manner.Ensure adherence to safe work practices and undertake any other duties within the broad area of administrative and management responsibility as directed by the General Manager.Minimum RequirementsQualified in relevant field with previous experience in the same or similar role.Demonstrated experience and competency in all aspects of MYOB accounting software.Advanced computer literacy, including demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office suite.Demonstrated understanding of Fair Work practices.Ability to work well with and support others to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities.Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organisational skills.Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion, combined with the ability to work in a co-operative manner with others.Demonstrated time management skills and a good sense of humour.What We PromiseWork with a sustainable value based pioneering Aboriginal organisation.Work closely with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people across an extremely diverse group of businesses operating across QLD and NT.Be a key member of an innovative and committed team.A high performing provider and career advancement from within.What We Can OfferAccommodation in a shared unit (single person only) in Mount Isa.Paid travel from major cities in QLD (Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns).5 weeks annual leave.This position can be DIDO, FIFO or local.How to ApplyTo apply for this role simply do so by submitting your Cover Letter and CV via Seek.
