With offices throughout Australia, our client is a leading Architecture studio based in the heart of Melbourne city, and they have a fantastic new opening for a highly skilled Finance Manager to oversee their financial operations.
This key role is vital in terms of maintaining the financial health and stability of the company. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, accounts payable, reporting, tax compliance and systems management.
Key Responsibilities Payroll - process payroll, manage onboarding/offboarding, reconcile accounts and handle Workcover reportingInvoicing - prepare client invoices, track payments, manage overdue accounts and assist Project Managers with project accountingAccounts Payable - process and reconcile credit card statements, vendor invoices, and sub-consultant billsReporting - prepare monthly financial reports, project tracking reports and assist with financial statement preparationTax & Compliance - manage BAS, payroll tax and other regulatory requirementsSystems Management - develop, implement and maintain financial systems and internal controlsGeneral Ad Hoc - bank reconciliations, cash flow management support and a variety of other financial and accounting related duties as requiredQualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance or AccountingProven background in a similar role within the Architecture or Design industry8-10 years of experienceStrong problem-solving, reporting, collation, analytical and research capabilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDeadline and results driven, highly organised and detail-orientedProficient in Xero ideally, or other accounting software, and Microsoft OfficeThis is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established design consultancy that is widely recognised for their award-winning work, both locally and internationally.
