The opportunity: We are on the lookout for a Finance Manager available to join our dynamic Finance & Compliance team based at our Support Office, in the heart of Richmond/Cremorne (café central).
Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Finance & Compliance this role is responsible for managing the Groups financial and accounting operations and ensuring all compliance obligations of the Group are met, along with supporting the compliance and financial reporting processes.
Leading and mentoring an Accounting team of seven, this operational role will see you:
Measure company performance against external and internal benchmarks Ensure all Taxation matters are as per ATO deadlines Work closely with Payroll Manager to ensure Payroll Tax, Super, PAYG obligations are correctly reconciled and remitted Ensure documentation of accounting procedures & policies Maintain relationships with external auditors and banks Oversee Financial Systems and external providers of systems management and system upgrades Identify areas to improve business efficiencies and reduce costs Deliver reports, provide analysis to the business in the identification of potential risks or opportunities. The skills and experience you offer us: Proven track record in a senior Finance position, which included leading and developing teams Strong technical experience, with the ability to think strategically Experience withing a complex and fast-paced environment, ideally within the retail industry Previous Big 4 experience would be highly regarded Business acumen, strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
