The ANDRITZ GROUP is a global market leader who supplies plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, for solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors, the steel industry and to produce animal feed and biomass pellets. We have an impressive heavy industrial client base with great growth prospects.
We are currently looking for a dynamic Finance Manager to support the Australian/NZ business and to be based at our head office in Carrum Downs.
The primary objective of the Finance Manager role is to oversee and execute comprehensive financial functions as directed by the Head of Finance. This includes managing project and revenue accounting, conducting thorough balance sheet reviews, overseeing OPEX reporting and control and upholding all statutory compliance standards. Additionally, this position is responsible for leading a dedicated transactional finance team, ensuring efficient financial operations and team management.
The role is pivotal in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships for finance related activities- particularly in corporate governance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:
Financial Management and Compliance: Ensure robust financial controls and processes to meet all statutory, audit, and tax compliance requirements. Oversee financial accounting tasks such as project and revenue accounting, balance sheet reviews, and OPEX reporting and management. Strategic Project Management: Lead financial analysis, facilitate project review meetings, support project managers, and ensure accurate financial data management. Month-End Reporting: Manage OPEX, conduct financial analysis, oversee sales and GM trends, and ensure timely month-end closures. Risk and Process Management: Drive process improvements and risk management strategies in collaboration with the Head of Finance. Budget and Forecast preparation. Team Leadership: Develop and lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. The role is vast and varied and requires someone who is self- starter and can hit the ground running and make an immediate positive impact.
To be successful in this role you must have a relevant degree along with either CA or CPA Qualifications. You also have demonstrative experience working in a Finance Manager or Senior Finance capacity, ideally working for a complex global company with matrix reporting structures. Working knowledge of SAP will be highly advantageous as will your exemplary knowledge of Australian statutory reporting requirements and broad accounting and people management skills.
