The Finance Manager is a hands-on role leading the finance function of the Darwin Turf Club (DTC)/Silks; overseeing the financial and management reporting obligations whilst ensuring financial health and optimal business performance including identifying opportunities to enhance profitability in a competitive market. Responsibilities:Overseeing and managing all aspects of the finance departmentOversight of the month-end process including ensuring the completion of the general ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash-Flow statementsCompletion of the commentary around variance to budgetCashflow forecastingPrepare and present financial reports on a monthly basis to DTC board & CEOPreparing the annual statutory accountsPreparation and lodgement of all statutory returns such as BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, and GSTLiaising with external auditors and banksManaging the company's financial systemsProviding commentary and analysis around the company's performance to the management teamProviding financial advice to managers regarding initiatives to improve the company's financial performanceCoordinate preparation of DTC budgets and financial plans.
