Our programs empower clients with new experiences, opportunities, and skills for life and work.About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to lead and develop our financial accounting team. This role provides guidance and advice to enhance the Finance function while contributing to the development of best practices within the Sunnyfield Finance Team.Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Management:Lead, develop, and mentor the financial accounting team.Build relationships across the organisation to facilitate a collaborative and informative approach.Financial Operational Responsibilities:Manage finance processes and systems to ensure timely and accurate production of accounts and reports, including month-end management accounts, P&L, balance sheet analysis, and fixed asset register.Provide accurate and insightful analysis and commentary on accounts and financial reports.Ensure appropriate controls and processes are in place, including reconciliations.Assist with Department of Health and Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) acquittals reporting.Assist with annual budgets, cashflow forecasting, monthly forecasts, and reports for the CEO and CFO.Assist with internal and external statutory audits.Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and statutory requirements.Provide advice on new and existing accounting standards, including AASB 16 Leases.About You5+ years' experience in a similar role.Demonstrated ability to solve financial issues.Thorough understanding of financial governance practices.Leadership and mentoring skills.Ability to analyse and communicate effectively across the organisation.High level of attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of accounting software and spreadsheet programs.Advanced Microsoft Office skills.Knowledge of Navision or similar accounting software is advantageous.Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.Strong organisational skills, including multi-tasking, prioritising, and time management.Why Sunnyfield?A career at Sunnyfield means living and working with purpose, focusing on empowering people with disabilities.
