Finance Manager      Beaumont People have partnered with an independent P-12, co-educational Anglican College located in the Hills District with their search for a Finance Manager.
Full-time, permanent role  Generous tuition discount for staff  Competitive remuneration and salary packaging     The Finance Manager is a key position, working closely with the Business Manager (CFO) and overseeing the daily operations of the Finance team.
As a senior member of the College, the Finance Manager will collaborate with the Senior Leadership team, support the Business Manager in providing reports to the Executives, Head of College, and College Council.
Key Responsibilities  Support the Business Manager in all financial operations of the College  Assist the Business Manager with providing information and advice to support the Head of College, College Executive, and College Council  Manage and supervise the Finance Team of 5, ensuring adherence to delegations  Perform financial modeling, forecasting and board reporting  Oversee financial reporting, including general purpose financial statements and other reporting obligations  Ensure financial compliance with internal and external requirements.
Maintain and enhance financial systems to improve data management and processing within the College's financial systems   Skills & Attributes  Experienced Finance Manager holding a degree in accounting, commerce, or business from a recognised university, with CPA or CA qualification post-graduation  Expertise in financial systems, accounting, and reporting, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and producing general-purpose financial reports  Proven leadership skills, with a track record of guiding, motivating, and influencing team members effectively  Strong problem-solving abilities, delivering solutions that benefit all stakeholders.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adherence to the Privacy Act within the education sector.
Collaborative approach in working with Executive and Senior Management to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Consistently follows and upholds cultural values, policies, procedures, and statutory obligations.
Actively promotes a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Finance team and the broader College community.
Capable of performing duties in alignment with the College's Purpose, Values, and Code of Conduct.
