The Opportunity As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a range of essential corporate services to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the organisation. This includes overseeing the accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management processes, payroll, and human resources. Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Manage and lead a team of finance professionals; Provide leadership, encourage and champion innovation to improve productivity; Prepare and analyse financial reports and statements to provide accurate and timely information to the management team; Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company has adequate funds to meet its obligations; Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, including GST, payroll tax, and income tax; Maintain accurate and complete financial records; Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions; Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management; Work with the management team to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth; Provide financial analysis and support for business decisions; Manage on-boarding and off-boarding of staff including the issuing of employment contracts, organising online inductions, and issuing of IT hardware. Your Skills & Experience Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Previous experience working in a similar role within the construction or trade services sector is highly desirable; Knowledge of accounting principles and practices; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities; Knowledge of Australian tax laws and financial regulations; Experience working with accounting software and financial reporting systems; Strong leadership and team management skills.
