Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to join our finance team at Energypro. This role is pivotal to ensuring the continued financial health of the organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing and providing leadership across all financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and compliance. As a key member of the management team, you will directly contribute to shaping our financial strategy and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Provide financial analysis and strategic planning to align with Energypro long-term goals. Lead and manage the financial department's operations and its teams.Budget and Planning: Develop and manage the company's annual budget and long-term financial plans.Financial Monitoring: Oversee financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to maximise profitability.Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage job costing, statement reconciliations, and payments with the assistance of an Accounts Payable Officer. Oversee the Accounts Receivable function to ensure efficiency and accuracy.Project Accounting: Supervise project progress claim reconciliations and retentions within the assistance of a Contracts Administrator.Reconciliation & Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate monthly reconciliations for all bank and credit card accounts. Manage payroll, superannuation, PAYGW reconciliations, and submissions to the ATO.Compliance & Submissions: Manage all compliance reporting including work cover, payroll tax, TPAR, and ATO activity statement lodgements.Asset Management: Oversee the management of the company's Asset Register and year-end duties.Team Leadership: Lead a small team of finance professionals to ensure smooth operations and adherence to financial processes.Skills and Attributes: Proven experience as a Financial Manager, ideally within the construction or electrical industry.Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with at least 8 years of relevant work experience.Extensive experience with Xero Accounting Software is essential; experience with SimPRO Software and Employment Hero is an added advantage.Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, mentor, and manage a finance team.Previous experience managing financial operations in a similar-sized business (50-100 employees) is highly regarded.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.Why Join Us?
