Black Hops Brewing, a leading independent craft brewery based on the Gold Coast, is seeking a strong Finance Manager to join our team. With an established presence in Queensland and Australia, we are committed to brewing high-quality beers and fostering a culture of trust and transparency.About the Role:As the Finance Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial activities, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. You will lead a small team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Your expertise will be crucial in analysing and optimising production costs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive financial strategies, and implementing cost-saving initiatives to enhance profitability.Key Responsibilities:Prepare monthly management reports and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including tax compliance, financial statements, and BAS lodgement.Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions.Manage day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, daily production, and variance analysis.Collaborate with the CEO on cash flow budgeting and future funding needs.Conduct comprehensive analyses of manufacturing costs to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies to optimise performance and profitability.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.Provide strategic guidance to senior management based on financial analysis.Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and foster a culture of continuous improvement.About You:You're a hands-on finance professional with 5+ years' experience as a Senior Accountant or Finance Manager, ideally within Food & Beverage, FMCG, or manufacturing. With a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, and CA or CPA certification, you bring strong skills in financial modelling, variance analysis, and budgeting. Your advanced analytical abilities help turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.You excel in communication and collaboration across teams and have a proven track record of motivating and developing others.
