Two divisions – Santos Energy Solutions and Santos Upstream Gas and Liquids – are accountable for global portfolio management and strategy.
About the role Based at our global headquarters in Adelaide, a fantastic opportunity exists to lead the Corporate Financial, Planning & Analysis (Corporate FP&A) team as Finance Manager – Corporate Planning & Analysis. The position reports directly into the Group Controller - Finance and is responsible for leading the Corporate and Corporate FP&A teams in the delivery of high-quality financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis for the Corporate Functions and consolidated Group. 
Key accountabilities include:
Lead the development and execution of the corporate budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and accurate financial projections. Manage the preparation and presentation of monthly executive level financial reports, highlighting key performance metrics, trends and insights to support executive decision-making for the Executive Team  Proactively engage with the Regional Business Unit Executive Vice Presidents, the Executive Vice President Santos Energy Solutions, the Executive Vice President Upstream Gas & Liquids and Senior Finance Executives (Group Controller, CFO) to provide critical financial insights, contribute to strategic discussions, and influence business outcomes. Mentor and develop finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth, while building a high-performing finance team. Oversee the timely and accurate production of latest estimates, providing actionable insights into potential financial outcomes and risks. Deliver on all analysis associated with Half-Year and Full-Year board reporting Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data, analyse variances, and identify opportunities for process improvements. Provide financial analysis to senior leadership, translating complex financial information into strategic recommendations to support effective decision-making. Foster relationships with broad base internal stakeholders, including financial services & systems, Investor Relations, Legal, Commercial Corporate Development, Treasury, Tax, Regional Business Units and Functional Divisions. Drive efficiencies, system improvements, and innovative approaches in financial planning and analysis to enhance business performance. Stay current with Oil and Gas industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in corporate finance, incorporating relevant insights into financial strategies and analyses. Other duties as required at the direction of the Group Controller or Chief Financial Officer. Compliance with the Santos Management System (SMS), Santos Delegation of Authority (DOA) and Santos Corporate Governance and Safety requirements About you Holding a recognised Accountancy Qualification (ICAA, CPA or equivalent), the ideal candidate will possess significant senior level experience in finance, with in-depth knowledge and understanding of corporate finance principles and financial planning and analysis. Additionally, candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence to interact with C-suite executives.
Whilst not essential, experience of having worked in the Oil and Gas sector and knowledge of SAP FI module, would be held in high regard.
