Finance Manager - Construction MaterialsDirectly reporting to the Regional Group Finance Business Partner, the Finance Manager will play a key role in the delivery of all financial aspects of the Regional Construction Materials Business.The Finance Manager will assist the Finance Business Partner in providing key financial and commercial support to the Regional Business Group. This role will include month-end accounting responsibilities, budgets and forecasts, financial performance analysis and the development of dashboards and KPI reporting tools. This role will also play a key part in the review and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.Key responsibilities include:Month End:Manage end-to-end month end processesProvide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis, and commentary on key performance drivers and variances to budgets and forecastsReview and process of month end journalsCompletion and review of balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standardsReporting:Elimination entries and consolidation of segment resultsPreparation of monthly cost and performance reports, including P&L and Working Capital reportsSupport the development of dashboards and KPI reportingBudgeting & Forecasting:Support the overall forecasting and budgeting processSupport operational teams in understanding and delivery of financial targetsSupport in the preparation of mid-month flash reportingPreparation of weekly cashflow forecastsProcess Improvement:Support continuous review and improvement of month end processes to streamline month end reporting timelinesReview and documentation of month end processes to ensure timely preparation of financial reports for key stakeholders in the businessWork closely with Shared Services team to ensure alignment and consistency with Shared Services processesOther:Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 accountantsManage overall Regional Group Inventory processes, including bi-annual stock take processPartner with key business leaders and operational management to improve commercial focus and to drive commercial and financial outcomesSupport the onboarding of new businesses and ensuring alignment with existing systems and processesKnowledge and experience required:University degree in Accounting or similarCA or CPA membership.Previously demonstrated experience in commerce or professional firm, construction materials industry highly regardedExperience with ERP systems and MS Office5+ years of experience working in a similar financial role.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated initiative and ability to think laterally.Advanced Excel skillsHighly organised with an ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demands.
