This temporary role, offering an attractive salary of $70-$75 per hour plus super, presents an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to drive the financial and compliance aspects of the organisation's strategic focus. The successful candidate will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, leading and managing the finance team, ensuring quality of service and efficiencies in supporting operational requirements.
What you'll do: Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organisation Maintain effective internal control and governance frameworks Assist with the annual budgeting for 2025 Assist with end of month reporting Manage and monitor internal, external and regulatory audit processes Act as the primary escalation point for urgent, complex, or highly sensitive operational issues Provide leadership, direction, and expert professional advice to Business Office and WHS teams Optimise financial performance and reporting by establishing an effective performance management framework Drive a best-in-class and continuous improvement mindset across the Finance function Oversee the asset register and perform annual review of assets What you'll bring: Extensive experience in a financial leadership position with relevant qualifications including current membership with CPA Australia or Chartered Accountant Highly developed decision-making skills with demonstrated ability to problem solve, think strategically, creatively and analytically Organised approach to work with excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy High level written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills Success in managing multiple projects while implementing process improvement and leading change management Strong leadership qualities with ability to support teams towards high performance Experience in implementation or improvement of Financial systems They offer a supportive work environment where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged.
