An exciting opportunity to join a Private Equity backed FMCG / retail group with a growing global presence.
Our client has well-known brands within its portfolio and has its products stocked in all the major retailers across Australia.
As the Finance Manager, you will manage three staff members, and work closely with the CEO and CFO to provide visibility and clarity on the business's financial performance.
The Challenge
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the management team, your role will take responsibility for the following tasks:
Preparation of financial reporting in accordance with group and local statutory accounting policiesBuild relationships with other functional heads and focus on initiatives for continuous improvement and corporate performance efficiency - including working closely with the IT team in system upgradesOversee overhead cost management, including the forecast & budget of people costsWorking with the CFO and management team to develop dashboard measures and reports tracking key business drivers, operational statistics, and key performance indicatorsOversee and manage all aspects of Taxation, including but not limited to Royalties, Income Tax, FBT, GST, and PRTCo-ordinate Half-year and Year-end audit information requirementsPreparation of consolidated statutory accounts on a timely basis, including supporting key judgement papersManage 3 staff members - payroll, accounts payable, and receivableThe Expertise

CA or CPA qualified with 5-10 years of post-qualified experience with at least 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, retail, or FMCGPossess a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and emotional intelligence to manage both senior stakeholders and junior team members effectivelyHigh level of numeracy and analytical skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figuresKnowledge of relevant Australian Accounting standardsKnowledge of taxation legislationDemonstrated advanced skills with Microsoft ExcelSolid organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work under own initiativeStrong report writing, verbal communication, and analysis skillsThe Next Step
