UGL are currently seeking a detail oriented Finance Lead to join our existing project team in Canningvale, WA.
The role will commence in December 2024, on a full time permanent basis.
You will be a local Perth resident and work a 5/2 roster.
The Finance Lead will function as a trusted Business Partner, working closely with the Finance Manager, and Project Manager to deliver financial analysis, reporting, and strategic insights.
This role is pivotal in managing revenue and expense reporting for Operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial results, and providing actionable insights to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities: Business Partnering: Act as the go to finance contact for the Project Manager, providing financial support for tenders, business cases, and process improvements.
Monthly Reporting: Ensure efficient month-end processes, align all balance sheet reconciliations with best practices, and deliver comprehensive financial reports.
Team Management: Oversee and guide the Finance and Administration teams, ensuring smooth completion of transactional tasks and skill development for team members.
Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor budget forecasts, upload Cost Breakdown Structures into SAP, and ensure financial processes align with project requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in client meetings, produce reports, and foster strong client relationships.
Value-Added Insights: Analyze financial data, model contract performance, and work closely with Contract Managers to optimise profitability.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Degree in Commerce or Accounting; CPA/CA or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in finance, with demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplined project teams.
Experience with Operations & Maintenance contracts and contract margin improvements is highly desirable.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, commercial acumen, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, and cash management.
Competencies: Proactive decision-making, analytical mindset, innovative problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous learning.
