About YOUR new job:
This busy and varied role will see you provide key support to the Senior Leadership Executives by taking full ownership of the Finance function. Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, your key responsibilities include:
Overseeing all functions of the Finance department including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general administration, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Hiring, training, and evaluating Accounts department employees, including taking corrective action when necessary. Provide high-level advice to the Leadership team on the application of contemporary accounting practices and principles, including Australian Accounting Standards. Identifying areas where technological solutions create efficiency and working with the Systems department to implement these improvements. Actively participate in interdepartmental meetings with a collaborative and outcome-driven approach. Developing, reviewing, and improving policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
About YOU!
You will be an energetic and natural communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with business leaders and with those who have a non-financial background. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a people manager/supervisor/team leader. Experiences in related fields, such as accounting, finance, financial reporting, or collections. Exceptional leadership and time, task, and resource management skills. Engage with others collaboratively and work to a high standard with accuracy and deliver on time. Ability to plan for and keep track of multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
