a Finance Director (new role)
keen to bring an extensive experience from fast-growth organisation to support our growth in both Australia and USA. The right candidate will be a catalyst for unlocking strategic growth avenues, particularly in North America. This entails propelling the business beyond mere ownership into the realm of a globally managed investment enterprise.You will ideally come from an established organisation and will be keen to grow to a CFO position. Experience from family company or start-up on top of your corporate experience will be highly regarded.As the Financial Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring efficient financial management and financial reporting. You will be a pivotal part of our team, working as a senior finance professional supported by an accountant and an external accounting and tax firm. This role requires a proactive and hardworking individual who can manage a high-growth environment and is ready to step into a challenging yet rewarding position.What you need to be successful in this role:Experience with doing business both in Australia and USA, knowledge of applicable tax laws and accountingStrong financial leadership and business acumen, project style business experience, understanding project cycles and timing, ideally in manufacturing or distribution industryCollaborating with stakeholders to support the annual budget and forecast process. 3-Way Forecasting - P&L, BS & CFExperience in setting up and document systems and process for running the finance by method.Experience developing KPIs for Finance Team and lead the team with close eye on compliance, accuracy, and timely management financial reporting.Experience building discipline of budgeting and forecasting / pipeline embedded in the management team. Understand and review the working capital and EBITDA drivers monthly.Willingness to participate on L&D activities - teach employees the math of business so that everyone has a grounding in core business and financial principles (in cooperation with external party). Provide mentoring support to the team and identify opportunities to deliver synergies, cost savings and added value within the Finance Department and throughout the organisation.Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills, and disciplined execution of projects. Resilience needed for change and transition of business.Strong values, ethics, integrity and transparency, can-do attitude.Qualifications:- CA or CPA certification, or an MBA in Finance or Accounting is preferred. Appropriate tertiary education in economics/finance/accounting is necessary- Proven experience in financial management within the manufacturing/industrial sector is a distinctive advantage- Strong leadership skills and experience in a role that requires to set up systems and methods that suit the business.- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills. Initiative-taking and positive way of working.- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.- Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel skills. NetSuite experience is a distinct advantage (Inc. Implementation).Additional Requirements:- Must have full working rights in Australia.- Ability to work both in-office and remotely in a hybrid setting (travel can be arranged)- Availability to travel as needed.Salary:
