Finance Director - Board Position (Unpaid)

The West Adelaide Football and Footballers Club (WAFC) is a not-for-profit sporting body, forming part of the SANFL. WAFC is one of the oldest Clubs in South Australia, with a history dating back to 1892. 
WAFC values diversity and is seeking to augment the existing skill set of its Board through the appointment of a dedicated Finance Director who holds current certification and tertiary skills in finance, accounting or a related field.  
General duties of the Board include:
- Meeting monthly to formulate and monitor WAFC strategy
- Oversee organisational risk, accountability and compliance
- Ensure effective governance and processes are in place   
- Participate in a minimum of one WAFC committee
There is a requirement that all Board members attend regular meetings and actively contribute to the collective decision of the Board to further the interests of the WAFC.
Specific skills required: 
- Current certification in finance, accounting or similar with a state or national body (for example CA, CPA)
- An interest in Australian Rules football 
- Willingness to work collaboratively with others at the strategic level
- Experience with financial management, planning, fundraising and strategic financial reporting
- Prior experience with a not-for-profit organisation or on a Board is highly desirable
- Board members must reside in South Australia
