Job Description Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance and Commercial Manager will spearhead the execution and monitoring of best practice business processes across the organisation to help drive growth and maximise earnings. They will oversee financial governance and performance measurement frameworks in partnership with the senior management team.
Key Responsibilities include: Commercial support, business performance management and strategy: Establish, monitor and enforce key business performance process and metrics driving operational efficiency and earning improvements. Lead financial analysis of capital investments, provide oversight and support on a variety of key projects and continuous improvement initiatives including supplier and customer commercial agreements. Risk Management: Coordinate annual strategic reviews and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) sessions. Manage insurance, FX hedging programs and the overall financial control framework ensuring legal and financial regulatory compliance. Financial reporting and management: Coordinate the annual budget process including preparation of presentations and reports to Directors and the Board. Actively manage costs to ensure operational efficiency coupled with treasury management, FX control and administration ensuring profitability. Management of annual external audit by PwC. Financial Analysis: Provide insight and commentary on trends and variances to budget/prior year. Routinely support and guide functional departments on performance reports and metrics. Develop and provide regular review and analysis of product, customer and regional profitability. Staff management: Lead, motivate and coach the finance team by building capability across the function in order to deliver service excellence to the organisation. Skills & Experiences Degree qualified with either post graduate CPA or CA. Extensive and proven experience in a commercial finance role in the FMCG industry. Proven people management experience managing and leading a team. Sound practical knowledge of the relevant tax compliance requirements and business rhythm. Collaborative team player, committed to sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Proven experience in an organisation with a well-functioning IBP/S&OP cycle. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including to build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Proven hands-on experience with mid to large ERP systems. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and market trends.
