This opportunity commences immediately, through until the 3rd of January, offering full-time hours at a casual rate of $48.40 p.h + Super.Working within the Budgeting and Reporting Team, your primary focus will be to produce high-quality monthly management financial reports in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal processes and procedures, whilst ensuring that the Finance team, Managers, Team Leaders, and Co-Coordinators meet monthly reporting deadlines.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and manage the monthly reporting process autonomously.Be the key point of contact for departmental managers in all monthly reporting matters.Prepare Council's monthly financial reports for senior management.Investigate budget variances to assist with monthly variance analysis.Support management in meeting deadlines or requests for financial analysis.Supervise the Accounts Payable team.Manage the investment portfolio and ensure council's investment policy is met.Produce monthly investment reports.To be successful in this role, you will have:Prior experience within Local Government.Demonstrated knowledge of financial management processes.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.An ability to interpret legislation, policies, and procedures.Strong written and verbal communication skills.To be eligible for this position you must be able to provide proof of working rights, a Working With Children Check, and a valid Police Check.If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, please click 'Apply Now'.
