The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to join our AusPac Financial Planning team, working for the Head of Finance – Consumer & Claims where you'll play a critical role in partnering with the business to make strategic financial decisions, supporting growth and operational efficiency.
Your new role
Your responsibilities will include financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis, providing insights to the business for strategic decision making. Effective interaction with senior stakeholders to provide recommendations and challenge, whilst navigating a complex environment.
Key accountabilities:

Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior management, driving profitable and sustainable growth.
Scope, implement and deliver budget/forecasts as per agreed timeframes, providing appropriate challenge, to ensure robust financial plans linked to strategy.
Financial adviser to business leaders/stakeholders, including evaluation of commercial opportunities, tenders and external negotiation materials with relevance to viability, profitability and risk.
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders to inform decision-making.
Foster productive working relationships with senior business leaders, FP&A teams and across the organisation, driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
A team player, self-motivated to align with business strategy and accountability to meet stakeholder expectations, whilst maintaining high performance.

About you
The successful candidate will have significant experience within a Finance Partnering / Advisory role, with a solid background in Financial services or Insurance industry. You will have extensive Finance Partnering experience and you will also have:

Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable commercial or strategic insights.
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders at all levels.
Proven stakeholder management experience and the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence.
Detailed understanding of FP&A and business process, strategic planning, whilst managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Financial systems, budgeting and planning, and reporting technologies and tools.
