About the Role As a Finance Partner for the Catholic Education Office (CEO), your role will be focused on being a strong support and partner to senior stakeholders and CEO executives within the organisation. Working together with the Finance team, you will provide crucial financial analysis and reporting services, including meaningful financial insights and advice.
Your role will include providing detailed financial planning and analysis services to your Service Area partners, including budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, financial analyses, and other ad hoc requirements. This role sees you building relationships with critical internal clients across the organisation and driving initiatives to continuously evolve FP&A services to support the performance and operations of CE.
Key Responsibilities As a CEO Finance business partner, you will be accountable for:
Monthly results preparation, analysis, and management reporting, including analysis of P&L results during and following period end close, and the preparation of monthly management packsPerform financial budgeting, forecasting, and planning to better enable the organisation to achieve its strategic goals.Perform financial analysis including scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, driver-based analysis, and other forms of financial modeling.Provide meaningful financial insights to clients through regular and ad hoc management reporting.Support continuous improvement through BAU activities and projects.Benefits and Opportunities Positive and collaborative workplace culturePermanent contractAttractive remuneration packageAccess to salary packaging, including novated leasing24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)Support for professional development and study opportunitiesThe successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business and hold current membership of a relevant professional accounting body such as CA/CPA.Minimum of 5 years experience across similar Finance roles.Experience within Financial Planning & Analysis functions.Prior experience engaging with senior leadership and providing timely decision support.Proven ability to access, analyse, and interpret complex data, enabling robust evaluation of annual planning processes and supporting continuous improvement of servicesA strong understanding of financial systems and reporting tools will mean that you are well-placed to recommend improvements and optimisation.Proven effective consultation, facilitation, and effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to develop manage & influence stakeholders, and build partnerships to support effective organisational change.Able to communicate complex financial information into understandable insights and advice.Financial modeling and business case development skills.Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the position duties, criteria, and skill set required.
