The team inhabit a heritage listed Chalmers Church located in the heart of the Launceston CBD. A convict-built landmark that was thoughtfully restored into a functional open plan office, staying true to the gothic revival architecture that makes this building truly unique. With sunlight streaming through the original stained windows, Chalmers is a vibrant and stylish office that's also reflective of the fun and supportive culture of our team.
About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for Finance / Business Analyst to join the team in our Launceston office. This role is tasked with collating, interrogating and interpreting data from our varied business systems to provide insights to relevant stakeholders to aid decision making. The role will utilise our existing technology to drive real insights and contribute to the strategic goals of the business.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, the role's responsibilities will include:
Finance Ensure correct and timely reporting of revenue, including reconciling control accounts for revenue and associated balancesAssist in preparation of annual financial statements and taxation returns including supporting working papers for external auditAssist in the preparation of cash flow forecastingPrepare and monitor compliance reporting to government departments related to license fees and rebatesAssist the Head of Corporate Services with budget preparation and reforecastingAssist the Head of Corporate Services in preparation of periodic KPI reportingOther ad hoc reporting as requestedCommercial Systems Support and ensure commercial rigor around our reservations and invoicing system – Peak 15Review and maximise full potential of guest booking and invoicing system to inform business operationsReview of the reservations system, and work with the Guest Services team and Management Accountant to ensure revenue is reconciled and correct.Supporting the Head of Corporate Services and Head of Delivery in designing and maintaining an effective set of internal controls within our commercial systemsSuperuser and System administrator for Peak 15 or other commercial system, including supporting the creation and maintenance of robust process documentationWorkforce & Labour Conduct fortnightly reporting in line with the payroll cycle to deliver insightful reporting through to the Head of Delivery and Regional Experience Managers on their labour costsCollaborate with the Delivery team to provide insights to assist with workforce requirementsCommercial Reporting Compile, analysis and reporting of detailed insights on the Sales & Marketing function to inform operations.Act as conduit between finance and commercial teams to ensure efficient and productive flow of informationTo succeed as a Finance Analyst, you should have the following skillsets, cognitive abilities and experience listed below:
