Glenelly Infrastructure Solutions are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team delivering a 5-year project with Scottish Power Energy Networks in our office in Kilmarnock.
This Finance Assistant position is a permanent, full-time role and will join an existing team to ensure admin, accounts, purchase order, accounts payable, and payroll are processed efficiently. You should have experience in a similar role - ideally in the engineering, utilities (gas, electric, water), construction, or housing sector.
Your previous roles may have been Finance Assistant, Administration Assistant, Account Co-ordinator, Admin Supervisor, or Office Manager. We need someone with a range of experience and skills who can adapt to business needs to deliver on time and correctly.
The hours are 8-4pm Monday to Friday, working from our office in Kilmarnock. The tasks and responsibilities are as follows:
Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing calendars.Maintain and update office records and databases.Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documents.Process invoices and manage accounts payable.Conduct data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.Assist with payroll processing and employee timekeeping.Coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements.Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
Your skills and knowledge should cover as much of the following as possible:
Proficient in data entry and experience with accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or Workday.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Knowledge of financial services and basic accounting principles is a plus.
Excellent communication skills are required, as you will be speaking to colleagues, clients, and customers, as well as dealing with subcontractors and suppliers.
