About the role We are seeking a detail-orientated and proactive Finance and Payroll Officer to support financial processes and ensure the smooth functioning of our financial operations. As a crucial member of our finance team, the Finance and Payroll Officer will facilitate delivery of accounts payable, payroll, credit cards and associated financial functions, contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.
What you will be doing Facilitate timely and accurate Accounts Payable service delivery (including data entry, invoice checking, coding and statement reconciliations, and reporting).Facilitate payroll operations, including entering payroll data, reconciliations, processing fortnightly pays and as required reporting through Xero.Drive and oversee the end-to-end process of company credit cards, including end of month processing, statement reconciliations, coding verification and transaction auditing.Ensure adoption and best practice use of quotes, purchase orders and invoicing to ensure appropriate use of financial resources.Support with the preparation and management of finance related policies, procedures and in-house training and awareness for staff.Support with 'Project' specific budgeting, cost verification, actual performance, and reporting.Support other general processing and financial tasks.With a blend of critical and innovative thinking, a great sense of humour, and a solution-focused mindset, you'll be able to prioritise tasks with minimal supervision and just "get the job done." What we are looking for Minimum of at least 2 years end-to-end experience in an accounts-based role. Certificate IV / Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping (or higher) would be highly regarded.Demonstrated experience with accounts payable, payroll and credit card processes.Strong knowledge of accounting software (Xero preferred).Resilience, a positive-attitude, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organisational and time management skills.If you're ready to take on a rewarding role and be a vital part of our team, we'd love to hear from you!
