We have a new opportunity for an inquisitive Finance Analyst to join our Resource & Industrial's division, supporting our Mining, Oils and Gas portfolio.
This role is based in our Melbourne office.
As Finance Analyst, you will: Business Partner with the Commercial; Finance; GMs; Regional Managers & Site based operations management.Conduct financial analysis: Collect, interpret, and analyse financial data, including revenue, expenses, and balance sheet related positions.Prepare financial reports: Prepare forecasts, budgets, monthly results to support the decision-making processes.Provide accurate and timely development of baseline budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.Monitor and analyse financial performance indicators: Identify trends and potential areas of concern and improvement.Conduct industry and market research: Identify opportunities and risks that may impact financial performance. To ensure your success you will possess: Previous experience in a commercial/finance analysis, with strong analytical capability and sound commercial acumen.Sound accounting knowledge and internal controls.Demonstrated analytical and attention to detail skills, with the ability to manage deliverables and deadlines.Excellent problem-solving abilities and investigation skills.Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling skills.Proficient in using data visualisation tools and creating impactful reports - PowerBI experience highly advantageous.Oil and Gas / Logistics Industry experience advantageous, not essential.CPA qualified or on way to completing.
