About the team Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions.
About the Role We are seeking a self-driven and collaborative Financial Analyst to join our Liquor Finance team. This role will support the business planning process in relation to the Liquor Balance Sheet and Capital Expenditure, and support the governance process in Liquor including DOA, attestation, impairment reviews, Smarter Selling, and other ad hoc requirements.
You will also:
Support a timely and engaging planning process across finance and the broader business, with clear accountabilities, timelines, and outputs. Provide reporting for senior management and analyse key movements, providing results in timely manner, ensuring integrity of information. Work with Coles Group Planning and Reporting and Capital teams to ensure their expectations are met in a timely and accurate fashion. Support measurement and reporting of the progress of the Liquor strategy. Ad hoc work to support various projects across Liquor. About you and your skills We're looking for a financial analyst with demonstrated understanding of a finance role within a large organisation, ideally from a Big 4 background or accounting firm. This role would suit someone comfortable working with large datasets and providing accurate insights through data-led storytelling.
You will also ideally have:
CA/CPA or similar business qualification, or near with commercial awareness and business focus. Strong stakeholder management skills including influencing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in dealing with large datasets, preferably exposed to budgeting and forecasting processes. SAP and TM1 knowledge desirable.
