Downer Rail, a leading name in the manufacturing and maintenance of rolling stock across Australia, has exciting opportunities for a Finance Analyst to join our team in Maryborough.
You will be reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager.
This position will be a key interface for the Downer Head Office finance team, having primary responsibility for the financial management of the Project Forecast Cost at Completion model, profit & loss, forecasts and budgets, financial modelling and analysis.
In this role you will have the following responsibilities: Managing costs across overheads and the project streams being supported and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.Driving business ownership of financial forecasts and budgets.Contributing to the strategic direction of the finance function with particular emphasis on driving the embedded business partner model, driving change, and demonstrating the behaviours necessary to achieve the outcomes required.Working collaboratively across the wider finance and operations team to determine priorities, manage performance, and continuously develop the function.Driving the implementation and improvement of Downer financial practices.About you: 3 years+ experience in project accounting or management accounting.Previous experience in the rail industry is desirable.Solid project experience with a track record of delivering revenue and cost-out initiatives.Demonstrated experience in business partnering, stakeholder management, and decision support.Ability to translate financial data into useful information for those across all levels of an organisation.Ability to use computer software relating to financial skills.We offer: Competitive remuneration with ongoing career development opportunities.Great work/life balance on the Fraser Coast.A workplace focused on Zero Harm, making safety a core part of everything we do.HOW TO APPLY:To apply for these great opportunities please click the APPLY NOW button below.
