Downer Rail a leading name in the manufacturing and maintenance of rolling stock across Australia has exciting opportunities for a Finance Analyst to join our team in Maryborough, you will be reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager.
This position will be a key interface for the Downer Head Office finance team
have primary responsibility for the financial management of the Project Forecast Cost at Completion model, profit & loss, forecasts and budgets, financial modelling and analysis.
In this role you will have the following: Managing costs across overheads and the project streams being supported and ensuring appropriate controls are in place Driving business ownership of financial forecasts and budgets Contribute the strategic direction of the finance function with particular emphasis on driving the embedded business partner model, driving change and demonstrating the behaviours necessary to achieve the outcomes required Work collaboratively across the wider finance and operations team to determine priorities, manage performance and continuously develop the function Drive the implementation and improvement of Downer financial practices About you: 3 years + experience project accounting or management accounting Certificate public accountant (CPA) qualified desirable Previous experience in rail industry desirable Solid project experience with a track record of delivering revenue and cost-out initiatives Demonstrated experience in business partnering, stakeholder management and decision support Ability to translate financial data into useful information for those across all levels of an organisation Ability to use computer software relating to financial skills We offer: Fulltime employment – Immediate start available Competitive remuneration with ongoing career development opportunities.
