About the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join our Commercial team on a 12-month contract. This role will see you support 2 of our manufacturing facilities – Spreyton & Wynyard, Tasmania.
As the Finance Analyst, you will support the Southern processing manufacturing assets, drive business improvement through commercial insight, collaboration, and financial discipline. You will also work closely with the senior management site teams to achieve Key performance objectives.
Reporting to the Finance Manager- Tasmania, you will be the primary Finance contact for the Spreyton and Wynyard factories providing accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial support in accordance with the company accounting timetable and reporting requirements.
You will ensure that all local and corporate reporting requirements meet deadlines and that the various departments/functions on site are conversant with the accounting systems, policies and procedures, budget and forecast tasks for their areas of responsibility.
You will also: Support the site teams to ensure the accuracy of product costs for products produced at the respective manufacturing sites. Drive the achievement of sustainable performance of the sites and region. Provide the necessary commercial support, insight and challenge to the site operations leadership team. Focus on the key value drivers related to operational effectiveness (yield, quality, OEE, cost management), capital effectiveness and recovery maximization. Drive improvement in core controls and compliance. Accounting and financial reporting, including month-end close, group and AU reporting, as well as CAPEX reporting. Preparation of the opex budgets and forecasts as per the corporate timeframe for budget /3YP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycles in combination with the wider business. This position will see you based across both the Spreyton and Wynyard sites.
About You Critical to your success in this role will be your attention to detail, teamed with your ability to assimilate and analyse complex information.
You will demonstrate a strong financial acumen, understanding and applying key financial indicators to make better business decisions.
You will have a customer centric focus and the proven ability to build strong relationships, both internally and externally.
You will also have: Tertiary qualifications in accounting, commercial or financial management or other relevant discipline. CA/CPA is preferred or working towards. 3 years of relevant working experience in an Analyst role. Site/manufacturing Finance experience preferred. Strong Excel modelling and written skills.
