Who We Are Avia Solutions Group, the world's largest Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI) provider, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Skytrans, a renowned regional airline in Queensland. As part of our expansion into the Australian market, we are set to introduce jet operations, starting with the Airbus A320 family of aircraft. This will be in addition to our well established Dash 8 and Caravan operation, servicing remote and regional Queensland as well as the Torres Strait.
Who You Are You will be a self-motivated individual with previous experience, looking to join a leading aviation Company. As the Finance Analyst, you will ensure the organisation adheres to all relevant financial regulations and policies. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant, the role will assist in monitoring and implementing financial compliance measures across various departments.
What You Will Do This position is full-time based at our Cairns Head Office at Cairns Airport. The role will typically see you:
•Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
•Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
•Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
•Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business planning.
•Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the financial health and performance of the company, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
•Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by senior management, supporting decision-making across various departments.
•Stay informed about industry trends, economic developments, and competitor activities, providing insights to support strategic planning and forecasting.
•Assist in the production of monthly and ad-hoc financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
•Review transactions to ensure they are correctly accounted for and comply with accounting standards and company policies.
•Collaborate with other areas in Finance to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of transaction processing.
