The Role Your role as the Finance Analyst will be broad and provide outstanding exposure across the business.
You will work as part of a high-calibre FP&A team whilst reporting to a talented and energising Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.
Your duties will broadly be broken down as follows (but not limited to): Act as a key member of the FP&A team, providing high-quality insights, constructively challenging business partners, and enhancing financial and commercial expertise across the organisation.
Contribute to the analysis for monthly reporting, including P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis, board reporting packs, and monthly updates for budget holders.
Conduct in-depth analysis of trends and KPIs, extracting critical insights to drive discussions with stakeholders and inform decision-making.
Evaluate the impact of various scenarios on profitability and cash flow, identifying risks and opportunities.
Deliver recommendations to support business decisions.
Support the Group's budgeting and forecasting efforts, laying the groundwork for rolling forecasts and 3-5 year plans.
Champion the Group's new planning system, driving ongoing improvements.
Develop and maintain financial models.
Leverage historical data to identify patterns and inform future projections.
Support various business needs, including evaluating new commercial initiatives, assessing the profitability and ROI of new ventures, and monitoring overall business performance.
Your Background To be considered for this Finance Analyst role you will ideally meet the following criteria: Prior experience in a Financial Analyst role or a related position (e.g.
Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or equivalent).
Professionally qualified (e.g.
CA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills having built or maintained models or conducted scenario modelling previously.
Experience with financial planning software is advantageous.
Possess critical thinking abilities, a tenacious approach to problem-solving, and a proactive attitude.
Self-motivated and effective as both a team player and an independent contributor, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Exhibits strong business and financial acumen.
Great communication and interpersonal abilities to be known as an effective business partner.
