The role: Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new and exciting 12-month role as the Finance Administrator to join the Operations team at our Head Office in Mulgrave. This role will be a key link between our direct customers, dealer network, auction house and other key internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for co-ordinating all returning Guaranteed Buy Back contracts in line with our Customer Journey and processing the returned vehicles and closing contracts - this role will require confident negotiation skills, along with great planning, teamwork and relationship building skills to best serve our customers and partners, making their experience exceptional.
Reporting to the Team Leader of Operations, your key responsibilities will be:
The provision of early termination quotes for the fleet teamPreparing stock for sale via our multi-channel approach, this includes market research into valuations, reserve setting and coordination of stock transportPreparing weekly dealer sales catalogues and assessing dealer offersMonitoring monthly auction results and negotiating via the auction house for the best outcomeChecking weekly stock inventory against repossessed asset registerMonitoring of assets nearing lease maturityCoordinating with Collections team to process and monitor the repossession of stockCross training with broader teams to assist in peak overflow periodsAttendance and active participation in all team meetings, activities and relevant projectsProviding a world class customer support experienceSupport customer and dealer enquiries with Guaranteed Buy Back end term process Who we are looking for: The successful candidate will be a confident and curious problem solver with an ability to learn and adapt quickly, especially in relation to the used truck market. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for building relationships and challenging processes to create improvements, a future focus and ability to take ownership with the role and its tasks is also desirable. Key to this role is an ability to be a self-starter with an ability to negotiate the best outcome for all involved parties, therefore, a sales and goal oriented team player with a keen eye for detail will be highly valued.
An understanding of the truck industry and of finance processes will be advantageous as well as a tertiary qualification in a business or finance related field. This role requires use with Microsoft Office applications and general computer tasks, therefore any skill or experience with these systems is valued. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and looking to get ahead at every opportunity in order to provide the best experience for our customers, and the best outcome for our stakeholders.
