About the roleThe Finance and Accounting Manager is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger to deliver high quality monthly and annual Management and Financial reporting. The role requires a detail-oriented problem solver that is both hands-on and can support/delegate tasks within the team effectively. As Finance and Accounting Manager, you thrive on continuous system and process improvements. This role is also responsible for the oversight of the fortnightly payroll and the interface to the Human Resource function of the business.
What you'll doManage a team of 3 (Accounts Payable and Payroll Officer, Accounts Receivable Officer, and Management Accountant) by prioritizing and allocating work and support in upskilling team members on a daily basis.Preparation, review, and analysis of month-end and quarterly reporting within set deadlines.Assisting the Head of Finance to deliver statutory reporting and financial audit requirements without adverse comment.Reviewing all Balance Sheet reconciliations in a manner that provides insight and creates useful information.Prepare and lodgement of necessary reports and returns (e.g., taxes, Workers Compensation).Monitor data integrity and maintain a high level of accuracy.Proactively identify and act on ongoing/new areas of opportunity through both finance and non-finance operational efficiencies and process improvements.Providing support on the business systems rebuild project.Administrator of Standards Australia's Corporate Credit Card facility and support on weekly vendor payment cycles (assisted by Accounts Payable and Payroll Officer).About you5+ years' experience in a complex accounting environment.Exposure to finance leadership roles.Proven track record on successful process improvements or business transformation projects.CPA/CA qualification highly favourable.Bachelor degree qualified, with a relevant Masters degree well regarded.Significant exposure to SaaS accounting platforms and business intelligence tools.Culture & BenefitsStandards Australia is proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
