Career development opportunities and supportPermanent full time positionAbout the role Babcock is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our dynamic and highly engaged Corporate Services Finance team.
Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and other senior members of the team, you will assist with management reporting and month-end procedures.
Importantly, you'll prepare and complete the taxation submissions, including the VAS, Corporate Tax, FBT, and Payroll tax.
You'll also identify and manage technical issues regarding accounting standards and tax, concentrating on the efficient and effective processes involved.
Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and responding to all Audit requests, both internal and external, will also be part of your responsibilities.
This great team focuses on accuracy and efficiency, so you'll be very much involved in recommending improvements to processes and procedures to enhance effectiveness.
About you Bring your experience within the Finance environment to further improve the offerings of our team.
You'll have strong communication skills, both written and oral, and have demonstrated the ability to use initiative and prioritize your workload.
To be successful, you will bring:
Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.Tertiary qualifications in accounting/commerce.Working towards or qualified CA or CPA.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word).This position is based in Adelaide, SA.
