Our client, in the educational sector in Sydney is seeking an experienced Finance Officer for a 6-month contract. They are a leading University in Australia with campuses across Sydney.

A crucial aspect of the role is fostering a customer-oriented and supportive team culture, aiming to deliver high-quality and efficient service. You will contribute actively to team goals and maintain a positive work environment. As a Finance Officer, you will ensure compliance with financial, procurement and University policies while actively participating in the improvement of financial systems and processes.

Duties within the role will include but not limited to: Provide support for a range of financial transactional services managed by the consolidated finance officer pool.Prepare and deliver ad hoc transactional reporting, maintain accurate documentation, registers and correspondence as requested for specific financial activities or initiatives.Act as a contact point for the Finance Partners (and clients where necessary) for escalations, feedback and receiving information on operational changes.Keep clients informed about the progress of their financial request right up until resolution.Prepare timely and accurate corrections to financial records if required.Actively work towards achieving service excellence and great customer experience.Skills & Experience: Customer service experience: with interpersonal skills to build effective internal relationships and liaise with staff at all levels in the University.Experience using financial systems for processing and reporting. ServiceNow Case Management, PeopleSoft, Power BI is preferred but not desired.Great written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritise multiple requirements and work under pressure to achieve deadlines.Computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, data processing, financial accounting systems and reporting systems.If you are an experienced, dynamic and motivated Finance Officer looking for their next opportunity please apply today!
