Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Australian Portable Camps is a South Australian based, vertically integrated manufacturer operating throughout Australia.
We are one of the leading Australian providers of innovative modular building solutions, meeting specific needs of the mining and construction industries and oil & gas projects.
An opportunity exists for an experienced Safety Advisor at our remote camps throughout Australia - FIFO from your capital city.
Reporting to the Senior WHS Advisor Projects and the National WHSE Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for monitoring and maintaining a comprehensive safety program that promotes a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
The Safety Advisor will work closely with management, employees, and contractors to identify and address potential safety hazards, and will serve as a resource for safety-related training and education.
Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain a comprehensive safety program.
Identify and address potential safety hazards.
Provide safety-related training and education.
Skills and Experience: A background in Construction is essential, with some experience in the Mining and/or Transport industry being ideal.
Ability to build strong relationships across site with all workers and management.
General administration experience with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience working within a hands-on safety role - minimum 2 years.
Formal qualifications in a related WHS/OHS area.
Experience with auditing and self-insurance.
2/1 Roster.

Minimum Certificate IV in WHS.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with previous experience.
HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing.
C Class Drivers Licence.
Provide First Aid/CPR - current.
Experience working in remote and hot climates.
Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
