FIFO Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME)Full-timeJob Type: AS - EngineerLeidos Airborne Solutions Australia provides aerial surveillance services under contract to the Australian Border Force as the largest civil maritime surveillance operation of its kind in the world, and a search-and-rescue capability across nearly 10 percent of the earth's surface under Australian Maritime Safety Authority.We are seeking a B1 Dash 8 Classic Type Rated LAME to join our Engineering team, on a 3 week on 3 week off roster.
Flights, accommodation, and transport are provided.Responsibilities include:Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation, and certification is carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals, and responsible CAMO requirements.Plan, distribute, and oversee scheduled maintenance.Perform, implement, and maintain any required shift/task handovers.Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices when required.Ensure all maintenance certified is carried out in accordance with maintenance data.Ensure Complex Maintenance Tasks are certified by an authorised Certifying Employee.Complete and certify maintenance and associated maintenance records correctly by authorised Certifying Employee prior to CRS issue.Ensure Critical Maintenance Tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS.Ensure maintenance is completed, certified, or deferred in line with the MOE prior to CRS issue.Responsible for the general condition and upkeep of the facilities.Compliance with the FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures.Perform any other duties as directed by the SBE.Minimum Requirements:Experienced LAME B1 or dual licensed.Heavy and Line maintenance experience.Hold a DHC8 Classic Type rating.Current First Aid Certificate.Confined Space training.DHC8 heavy and Line experience.Due to the nature of our operations, we are only able to accept applications from Australian citizens.
