We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.Due to anticipated growth across our flagship portfolio in Moranbah and Dysart region in Central QLD, we have exciting opportunities for experienced Head Chefs and Sous Chefs to work remotely on a 14:7 roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off).Flights ex Brisbane, accommodation and meals all provided.
Locals also encouraged to apply for drive-in, drive-out.The PositionsWork collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employeesBuffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast, Crib, Lunch, and / or Dinner and DessertsEnsure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling proceduresEnsure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to a minimumMaintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standardsManaging catering team performance and employee developmentThe PersonChef Qualifications / Cert III in Commercial CookeryExperience within bulk catering environmentsExperience working in the remote sectorExcellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operationsExperience in menu writing, rostering and cost controlExperience with hygienic work practices and appropriate HACCP guidelinesThe BenefitsWorking 14 days on and 7 days off, fly in fly out, or drive in drive out opportunities are available for the successful candidates.
