Field Technician - Radio

We are currently seeking an ambitious and highly skilled Field Technician with a track record in the marine radio communications, including GMDSS & navigation technologies. Candidates for this role will be technically brilliant, have extensive expertise installing, maintaining and diagnosing communication and navigation equipment including radio, satellite and GPS/Gyro technologies.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
Attend ships and office tasks, often Continue training on new technologies Work collaboratively with the Sales/Project team to assess current projectsCultivate and deepen client relationships and partnerships that add valueInstalling, maintaining, repairing, and diagnosing malfunctions of, telemetry, satellite and other radio communication systems (VHF, UHF, MF, HF) Configuring and integrating networked navigation technology with computer software, hardware, desktops, and operating systemsProviding technical advice and information, and monitoring the performance of complex systemsLiaising with vendors, suppliers, service providers and external resources Providing ongoing operational support in designing, optimising, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and resolving of telecommunications network performance malfunctions, defects and faultsEssential Skills The following are desirable 
4+ years' experience in a technical role, preferrable within the marine subindustryAware of the latest technology trends and shifts, as well as projections for the futureAbility to up-sell and communicate with customersEvidence of ability to solve difficult technical problems, often under a deadlineExceptional communication and customer presentation skillsSolid computer and report writing skills Able to work both alone and alongside a wider team
