PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Manage the field workforce, ensuring safe, compliant, effective and efficient Service Delivery for Customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Functional: Support the planning and scheduling process to maximise work completion and minimise down time.Be accountable for safe, compliant, effective and efficient frontline Service Delivery functions.Ensure all projects and jobs are actively managed to ensure safety, efficiency, financial control and that customer service is optimised.Undertake and support technical and safety investigations.Provide input into the Planning, Design, Construction, Commissioning, Acceptance into Operational Service, Maintenance, and Renewal of assets.Liaise and interact with external stakeholders, maintaining Power Services integrity and reputation (including NT Gov and Councils).Ensure workforce is well trained, working with the training team to develop and deliver streamlined practical training.Manage operations, maintenance and construction activities on Power Services assets.Scope works and supervise Field Crews in the execution of job activities to ensure works are delivered "on time" and "on budget."Conduct field visits to audit quality of work, efficiency and safety to foster a culture of continuous improvement.Leadership: Show leadership through a collaborative and supportive approach.Be a recognised Work Health and Safety leader.Foster a continuous improvement culture, promoting curiosity, innovation, learning, and development.Identify, lead or support change (and change management) to improve organisational performance.Develop capability of teams and individuals, including the next generation of leaders.Cultivate a team approach and consistent messaging, expectations and procedure compliance within the team.Proactively understand and manage team morale and individual wellbeing.Manage field crew performance by setting and reviewing goals, providing feedback, coaching and instruction and conducting regular site visits.Safety: Complies with all legislation and codes of practice related to safety and electricity regulation.Complies with all PWC safety policies and procedures.Proactive and takes all practicable steps to ensure own safety, the safety of contractors, the public and their property.Records all non-compliance with safety practices and subsequent corrective actions.Implements audits, risk assessment and hazard management strategies.Protects the environment in accordance with corporate standards and operational legislative compliance.Customer: Drive exceptional customer service.Drive improvement in response and rectification compliance and communication with customers.Address any escalated customer complaints, interacting with customers and other groups within Service Delivery and Customer Services.SELECTION CRITERIA: Qualification and Skills Experience: Essential: An AQF Certificate III in electrical/mechanical fitter or line worker, knowledge and experience in a utility environment.Demonstrated experience in effectively leading, managing and developing large groups of technical staff.Demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skills, including proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical issues in a manner that can be understood and implemented.High level negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders with diverse interests to build and maintain trust and influence outcomes.Desirable: Demonstrated working knowledge of business software applications such as MS Office, record management systems such as TRIM and scheduling tools.Qualifications in project management, public sector or business management, work health and safety.FURTHER INFORMATION: Contact Aaron Bussell on 0408 989 533 for further information about the position.Information about Power and Water Corporation may be viewed at powerwater.com.au.The total remuneration package amounts published for this position include base salary, superannuation and annual leave loading and the value of an extra week's annual leave.Apply Online: https://jobs.nt.gov.au/Home/JobDetails?rtfId=308262
