City of Newcastle (CN) is currently looking for an experienced and motivated Field Supervisor to join our Civil Construction and Maintenance team in a permanent full-time role.
You'll draw on your proven leadership experience in a similar role to supervise the day-to-day running of civil construction projects, including mentoring and training of crew members and organisation of required day labour, plant and material. More specifically, you will:
Plan, organise and supervise CN staff, labour hire employees, and external contractors to ensure the required quality of workmanship and productivity is attained. Take a 'hands-on' approach, carrying out daily tasks with the team ensuring the efficient and safe construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure and other municipal works, including but not limited to: Road pavement construction Concrete works Asphalt works Drainage works Line marking Work within budget and nominated timeframes.
