About the role
We have an opportunity for a Production Print Technician (Industrial Print) to join the VIC team, specifically looking after the end-end technical and customer support for our cut sheet inkjet and embellishment product range. You will be responsible for resolving or escalating and documenting technical problems, and ensuring the continued equipment up time for Konica Minolta Industrial and Production Print equipment. You will liaise with stakeholders, foster communication, and assist with technical product evaluation and potential launch activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and support of Colour and B&W print production equipment and ancillary products with associated software & services solutions.
As a member of the Victorian Team, you will ensure customer satisfaction through on-site Corrective and Preventative maintenance on customer equipment. This role works within a team of dedicated technicians and reports directly to the State Service Delivery Manager.
Previous technical experience in the Print Production industry is essential and experience with Konica Minolta equipment will be looked upon favourably.
To be qualified for this position, ideally, your background and skills will comprise of the following: Your strong technical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and professional approach, as well as a positive attitude in dealing with customers are essential attributes for this role. Applicants must possess a very strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proven track record of excellent customer service, ensuring you go above and beyond. Ability to work autonomously, whilst keeping in constant contact with your team to ensure workload is consistent and transparent. Essential requirements for this role: Demonstrated experience in a similar role, minimum 3 years experience. Strong fault-finding skills and technical aptitude ability. Experience in field technician positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices will be looked upon favourably. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer facing skills. Excellent organisation and time management skills. Current Victorian Driver's License and Working with Children Check. Willingness to work extended hours on standby during the week and weekends as required per a roster. Willingness to travel interstate for training regularly. Current Australian working rights are essential. As per Konica Minolta compliance procedures, the successful candidate will be required to undertake background checks.
