The Field Service Technician will have a 'can do' attitude and is ready to take on their next big challenge contributing to the building and maintenance of large-scale Energy storage systems and performs hands-on technical commissioning and maintenance support. These tasks will include annual maintenance activities, troubleshooting, service and repair.
Responsibilities: Delivery of preventative and reactive maintenance in line with service obligations and product warranty, including schedules Onsite troubleshooting and investigation of equipment failures Prioritize and enforce safe work practices as described in the Energy Control Program, Maintenance Manual, and all Powin published and released documentation Attend daily toolbox meetings and sign off on Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) Work Orders (WO) and Lockout/Tagout checklists Act as the Company's onsite, customer focused representative; adhere to customer's site-specific safety programs, onsite communication protocol and site-specific playbook Provide regular reports for field operations work Accurate and daily service database entry and coding for all service activities Special reporting for any significant field level discovery that justifies the creation of Field Reports to provide further details to the issues discovered Adhere to all published and release Powin documentation when performing preventive and corrective maintenance Ensure Powin quality standards are met Assist with spare parts inventory management & logistics when required Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Certified A grade Electrical Worker or equivalent qualification in Australia or New Zealand 5+ Years of demonstrated Field Service experience Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment such as Digital Multimeters, Meggers, and multi-process calibration equipment Working knowledge of and experience operating under AS/NZS standards Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and specifications Strong computer skills and experience with MS Office software (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Power Point, Teams), Slack and other collaboration applications Agility with learning new software Demonstrated ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with customers, project team members, contractors, and subcontractors Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills Wind turbine, solar, or battery storage service operations experience preferred Fire Detection System and/or HVAC experience is an advantage Knowledge and experience with SCADA protocols (i.e. DNP3 and Modbus) Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, SEL PLCs, Relays and meters, SCADA, Ethernet switches, media converters (fiber and serial) and digital Input/output devices Travel to customer locations is required Ability to travel often, occasionally on short notice Demonstrated experience in customer-focused problem solving On call periodic technical support Excellent communication and documentation skills Powin is not accepting resumes from unsolicited headhunters or agencies at this time.
