Field Service Technician

About The Role Due to continued growth in our on-site service division, MaxiTRANS is looking for a Field Service Technician to join the team. Our state office is based in Derrimut; however, you will be required to work on-site in various regions of Melbourne/Victoria.
Reporting to the Senior Workshop Manager, this position will involve attending to servicing of trailers in the field, upgrading customer fleets with repairs, replacing components and parts critical for fleet safety and efficiency, and offering breakdown assistance (when requested).
Duties Required Conduct major and minor servicing.Operate out of a service van.Time management and planning.Troubleshooting, fault finding, and problem-solving skills.Customer service and stakeholder management skills.Flexible skill set willing to think and work outside the box.Skills and Experience Relevant trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.Previous experience working on heavy vehicles, specifically semi-trailers.Ability to problem solve and deliver the right outcome.Valid driver's license.Basic computer skills (i.e., Word and Excel).OH&S Safety Focus.What we Offer Laundered uniforms and tools of the trade.A supportive work environment and on-the-job training.Training and development opportunities.Competitive hourly rate!Retention bonus.Team culture that is superior within the industry.Employee Assistance Program.You will be utilizing a company van with a provided fuel card and will have the benefit of operating autonomously!
