About the role Big Chief Hire is a truck and machine hire company, established over ten years ago and continuing to expand nationally. Originating in South Australia, Big Chief Hire has now expanded interstate with branches in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.
Big Chief Hire prides themselves on being a leading provider of skilled operators, earth-moving and civil machinery for wet and dry hire solutions to government agencies and private companies. With a large range of fleet available; from 1.5 tonne rollers to 50 tonne Excavators, we cater for all our customers' needs.
The Field Service Technicians/Mechanics will be responsible for carrying out repairs, servicing, and reporting on fleet machinery to the highest level of workmanship to ensure complete satisfaction and maximum output.
Along with this, the Field Service Technician will be responsible for:
Carrying out troubleshooting, preventative and scheduled maintenance of hire fleet assets;Maintaining the levels of all required materials and tooling;Complying with maintenance management systems;Diagnosing mechanical faults;Providing technical support to the Sales Team when required.About You Trade qualification in heavy diesel mechanics (essential);Australian HR Drivers licence (essential);2+ years experience in a similar role (essential);Experience with trucks and earth moving equipment (desirable);Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Strong mechanical and technical aptitude;A commitment to workplace safety and compliance.Ready to make the move?
