Field Service Technician (FIFO) We are a fast growing and innovative company with a mission to lead the transformation into a more digital and sustainable tomorrow. An opportunity to join the team at Normet is available for an experienced fly in fly out (FIFO) Field Service Technician. We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced Auto Electricians, Mechanics or candidates skilled in both areas. A High Voltage License will also be highly regarded.
FIFO opportunities are available from Adelaide, Brisbane or Melbourne with flexible rosters - 8:6 I 7:7 I 2:1 I 2:2. In the role, you'll be responsible for conducting on-site work nationwide, working 12-hour shifts, performing electrical and technical service and maintenance tasks and repairs on Normet and client underground machines.
What we offer: Permanent full-time position, offering job security Flexible rosters available: 8:6 I 7:7 I 2:1 I 2:2 Starting hourly rate of $70 per hour (flat) plus super Opportunity to earn between $155,200 – $210,000 per year plus super, roster dependent FIFO from Adelaide, Brisbane or Melbourne with accommodation and meals provided on site Career progression to a Product Support Specialist or Trainer Opportunity to work with BEVs and cutting-edge mining technology Access to local and global technology and training programs Battery Electric Vehicle training and industry insights Supportive team culture and engaging work environment Employee Assistance Program, Rewards & Recognition, and Years of Service Programs About you: Certificate III in Electrical or Mechanical or both with a minimum of 3 years industry experience Previous underground experience is essential High Voltage License will be highly regarded Experience in modification and repairs of heavy mobile equipment Strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, experience, and aptitude Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics High level of problem solving and diagnostic skills Experience with can-bus systems is highly desirable Full working rights in Australia You will have the ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance Key Responsibilities: Perform electrical and technical service and maintenance tasks and repairs on-site underground, nationwide All work to be performed safely and at a level of quality acceptable to both Normet and customer expectation How to Apply: If you are a Trade Qualified Automotive Electrician, Mechanic or both, are motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to travel, we encourage you to apply now.
