The role Sandvik is looking for motivated local Electrical Field Service Technicians to join the Mackay team.
The role involves performing general low voltage electrical work (mining) both in the workshop and onsite, conducting maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on Sandvik mobile equipment.
Areas of responsibility Carry out general low voltage electrical duties to 1000v underground equipment, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis work on Sandvik mobile equipment.Perform electrical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans, maintaining the integrity of the equipment.Perform fault finding and repairs using electrical schematics.Provide relevant feedback to enable maintenance planning improvements.Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time records.Your profile To be successful for this role you must have the following experience & qualifications:
Certificate III in electro technology and at least 3 years of post-trade experience.Experience in remote control testing and repair.Experience with surface and underground mining and heavy mobile equipment.Experience with Sandvik products is an advantage.Strong customer service attitude and determination to achieve targets.Basic mechanical and hydraulic knowledge, with the ability to read schematics.Ability to work underground and on rostered shifts.Valid QLD electrical license and a valid Driver's license.Flame proof equipment installation and maintenance experience is an advantage.Agencies need not apply.
